Have you ever been enticed by those products that say they will take away all your excess fat in 2 days? Or those that say they will target your thighs, your belly, your arms? I know I have. It is easy to be sucked into those "quick" fixes, but time and time again I come back to the basics... eat right and be active. You want to get rid of that stubborn belly fat? Eat less sugar, eat whole grains, eat fruits and veggies and exercise! People now want a quick fix, I do too; its more appealing than working hard and waiting for something you want now. Working and waiting makes the reward that much more...well, REWARDING! You start to feel such a sense of accomplishment when you set a goal and work hard to achieve it.

Fitness companies, icons etc promote these things that promise quick fixes so it will make them money but won't solve a very serious problem arising in America today, obesity. They promote products that promise a quick fix, and they might work for a bit, but NEVER last (Unless you continue to pay tons of money on products for the rest of your life). Fitness and health is not easily fixable, it is not quick, it is an ongoing, continuous, life struggle of loving and fueling your body. Lets not forget the many nutrition fads that have and continue to go on. Prepared meals to your door, group weight loss clubs, diet plans, exercise equipment; the list goes on and on. If you want something that lasts, its going to be a lifestyle change that you will always be working on. Fitness is about moving your bodies everyday, and experiencing nature while eating whole, raw foods. Our bodies are temples made for the Lord to worship Him.

"Dont you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

He made us, we turned from Him, He bought us again with His blood. What we do with our bodies does matter. Anything worth doing does not come easy. We must preserve and protect our bodies, treat them with kindness and love. If companies claim quick, easy, and fix in the same sentence, you can be sure its a scam to get your money and your hopes up. The only hope is Jesus. The only way to reach your fitness goals is through hard work and timeless methods. There are some great improvements that I will talk about in the next post:) so look out for that, but for now, eat good, healthy food, and get out there and MOVE!!!

As always,

God Bless.
